It is said to be healthier than white rice. White rice does not contain fiber, but it does contain fiber, as well as nutrients such as magnesium and calcium. It also contains Vitamin A and Vitamin B. They are also effective in controlling blood sugar and blood lipids. The oil contained in the husk of rice helps in lowering cholesterol. The fiber in them is also good for lowering LDL cholesterol. They are rich in magnesium which is essential for maintaining healthy bones. As it contains manganese, its consumption is good for the health of the nervous system.


Mix Well Tayyaar Chemba Puttu podi with salt as required. Add Lukewarm water little by little to it and mix well until the flour becomes crumbly and moist without any lumps. Layer the puttu maker first with grated coconut at the end. Steam for 10 minutes. Serve hot  with Kadala Curry, Pappadam or Banana
